On this article, we will see ssh key authentication configuration between two system for a user . Here the source machine is server_X and target machine is server_Y . We will established a ssh key authentication between from server_X to server_Y . ssh key authentication help us to ssh or login to any machine without prompt for password . Hence ssh key authentication is also called password less login . It is very useful for an administrator to make this automate.

Sometimes it is required to access OLD_ROOTVG or ALTINST_ROOTVG ( alternate rootvg ) filesystems for copying files and directories to current OS or viewing logs for trouble shooting after a AIX upgrade or during a upgrade. We can access OLD_ROOTVG or ALT_ROOTVG filesystems for copying files and directories , viewing logs by "wake_up" OLD or ALT rootvg while we are in the current OS shell.
